Our Team

Jayaprada Foundation’s core strength is designed on trust, team work, transparency and shared values. Our founder members are Jayaprada Tondapu, Founder and Chairman; Gautami S. Tondapu, Managing Director; Chamundeswari Cherukuri, Chief Operating Officer; Anuradha Vemulapalli and Vani Golla, who are part of our Senior Management Team.

Chairman, Jayaprada Foundation

Mr. T.D. Janardhan

Mr. T.D. Janardhan is a seasoned political leader and cooperative banking expert with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. A committed public servant and a respected figure in cooperative development, he has held various pivotal roles at district, state, and national levels, contributing significantly to rural finance and institutional development.

His early engagement in community service, including active participation in the National Service Scheme and leadership roles in university social initiatives, laid the foundation for a lifetime of public service.

He began his leadership journey as the unanimously elected President of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in Lingala, Andhra Pradesh, later rising to become the Chairman of the Krishna District Cooperative Central Bank (KDCCB). Under his tenure, KDCCB achieved unprecedented recognition, including five consecutive Best Performance Awards from NABARD and honors from the Prime Minister, Finance Ministers, and the President of India for excellence in cooperative credit and support to women’s groups.

His tenure as Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (APCOB) was equally illustrious, with APCOB securing national accolades for best overall performance from the National Federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB). Mr. Janardhan also served as Vice Chairman of NAFSCOB and Chairman of the National Cooperative Agriculture & Rural Development Banks’ Federation, playing a critical role in shaping national cooperative credit policy.

Recognized for his policy acumen, Mr. Janardhan contributed to India’s 10th Five Year Plan as a member of the Planning Commission’s Working Group on Agriculture, Credit, and Cooperation. He also served on key national committees focused on institutional development and agricultural credit reform.

In addition to his policy and leadership roles, Mr. Janardhan has been instrumental in cooperative education and training, chairing institutions such as the Institute of Cooperative Management and APCOB’s Cooperative Training Institute.

From 2015 to 2021, Mr. Janardhan served as a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, where he brought his vast experience in governance and cooperative banking to legislative service.

Ms. Jayaprada Tondapu

Ms. Jayaprada Tondapu, Founder-Chairperson, has been a guiding light to our foundation from its inception and has been inspiration behind the very idea of commencing a not-for-profit organisation of this nature. Her rich organizational skills in various fields add tremendous value to the foundation and she plays a pivotal role in devising our welfare policies. She keenly believes in serving the community and made a significant contribution in spheres of education, health and rural development.

Vice Chairperson, Jayaprada Foundation

Ms. Gautami S. Tondapu

A lawyer by profession, Gautami shifted career from law to the social sector and has taken up leadership at the Jayaprada Foundation. She worked as a legal advisor at one of India’s finest full-service law firms for 6 years before taking responsibility of the foundation’s operations and gives strategic guidance and direction to the Board of Directors to ensure that the the foundation achieves its mission and objectives. She serves as a principal resource to the Board and its key committees and gives strong direction in policy formulation and interpretation.

Gautami specialises in devising girl child Support initiatives for their survival, safety and education including honouring educational achievements by promoting scholarships and sponsoring their educational or sporting abilities. She holds a B.Com., LLB. (Hons.) degree from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Mentor, Jayaprada Foundation

Ms. Chamundeswari Cherukuri

As the founding COO of Jayaprada Foundation, Chamundeswari Cheruki has immense experience in community impact, resource development, providing philanthropic support to various communities, fundraising and women empowerment initiatives. She has the experience of representing highest levels in the government and non-profit sectors, including conducting various Government programs such as skill development programs and women self employment programs with efficiency and measurable outcome. She has led various health camps among socially and economically disadvantaged communities. In her previous role, she led Sri Sitarama Garments and Apparels Private Limited as a leading entrepreneur in the garments industry.

Senior Management Team

Ms. Anuradha Vemulapalli

Dr. Anuradha Vemulapalli retired as Chairman for Board of Studies and Head of Department of History & Archaeology from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. She has been teaching for 22 years now, published more than 20 research papers and authored 4 books. Her immense contribution to the field of Archaeology has led her to the rare opportunity of being the only woman who led archaeological excavations of ancient sites and transplantation work of temples in submergible areas under the Srisailam Hydro-electric project sponsored by the Andhra Pradesh State Archaeology & Museums Department. Further, in her previous role as Convenor for Krishna District at INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage), she was responsible for protection of monuments within the District from 2003-2005.

At Jayaprada Foundation, she has been instrumental in promoting rural education and benefits of girl child education, and how they both can benefit the community at large. She led massive awareness and large-scale female welfare camps across districts in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Senior Management Team

Ms. Vani Golla

Vani Golla is primarily responsible for implementation of strategy and policies of the foundation at the ground level by ensuring that there is adequate support and a welcoming feeling from the communities benefitted by our activities. She has immense experience in conducting sessions at government schools, shelter homes, and communities, on Menstrual Hygiene Management and general hygiene. She has organised numerous diagnostic screening eye camps and eye surgeries through her association with LV Prasad Eye Hospital, Tadigadapa, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

Vani understands the roles and contributions of all sectors of the community and can mobilize resources (financial and human), through meaningful engagement. She has been mentoring students at Vidyala Home for Girls, Penamaluru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh with an aim to provide education and opportunities to girl child and also worked as Vice-President at Tharuni Tharangalu, a voluntary organisation enabling empowerment of women.

Administrative Management Team

Mr. Raghuramakrishna Kasaraneni

Raghu functions as the Executive Manager for implementation of policies and procedures, and establishing budgets. As a part of this, he travels across the communities that Jayaprada Foundation works with and helps us adopt the best practices in project management in relation to activities organised by the foundation. His work involves developing innovative funding and project implementation techniques so as to ensure maximum impact while minimising costs.

An engineer by education, Raghu has 12 years of work experience in various sectors such as Broadband, Domestic Solar Power, Animal Health Care and Mobile Payment Applications in E-Commerce. Raghu has organised various social welfare activities, as part of skill development training programs, and has experience in creating employment opportunities through job melas. He is responsible to ensure that we put our resources to the best use.
